The Department of Anaesthesiology and Analgesia guarantees an approach to patients that is targeted to individual antalgic needs, both during and after surgery, using up to date techniques of general anaesthesia, sedation and loco-regional anaesthesia. In addition, the available electromedical devices let us to correctly monitor and constantly support the vital functions of each pet during the procedure. The cooperation with colleagues from other Departments allows the specialists of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Analgesia to choose the most adequate protocol according to the clinical and psychological situation of every dog or cat. The willingness to talk with owners and the importance of our role are crucial for our activity. Cooperation, patience and scientific knowledge are the only ways to support and solve situations of anxiety, fear and difficulty.
